Hi. My family and I will be moving to Waxhaw at the end of the week. I am looking for daycare recommendations for our 2 year old son. I will be working in Ballantyne, so anything along the way for my commute from Waxhaw to Ballantyne is desirable. Thanks in advance!

What type of place are you looking for? Small in home? Larger center? What is your price range? We have our 5 month old son at Children's Lighthouse off Rea Rd. It's a 5 star rated daycare and we have had a great experience there so far!

Thanks for the recommendation! Our son is currently at a center that has about 90 children. We love it because they have a great curriculum for all ages and has a home-like feel to it even though it is a larger center. We've been looking at the 5 star rated centers. From what I've seen, the centers appear to be within $220-$280, and we're not looking to spend higher than that range.

Can you tell me anything regarding the teacher's credentials? Thanks so much!

Cranfield academy is up on Providence and Audrey kell. You cna take aundrey kell or 485 to Ballantyne. My daughter went there a few years ago when they just opened and they were fantastic. Great curriculum, and DD went into kindergarten reading and writing. I highly recommend them. We lived in waxhaw but it was on my way to work.
