CHS owns the property so something will be built at that site. Carolinas HealthCare must submit a significantly different site plan to be considered for another rezoning request at the same site.

So the mental hospital could still happen but probably design in way with less impact to the subdivision.

They could always sell that property and go find a new location. But I think you are right, Sunny. They will probably just try to redesign it and meanwhile, work behind the scenes with decision-makers to try to come up with something that will get passed.
