Ok I dont see what the big deal is. The other facility is right in backyards of homes yet we dont hear on the news issues of 'safety' they proclaim.

On the other hand it's easy for local residents to pop in for a checkup .

I live in this neighborhood. I have no problem with the facility...there was one there when we moved in and has since been torn down. What I have an issue with is the zoning concessions they are asking for in regards to the distance of the building to the neighborhood and second entrace being added to a rather small neighborhood (we will become drive through central especially with the morning LNCS traffic).

Funny how different stations present the same story. If you read this one, it makes you more sympathetic towards CHCS.

Mixed feelings about Huntersville behavioral health facility - WBTV 3 News, Weather, Sports, and Traffic for Charlotte, NC

To call their concerns "safety issues" is overblowing the issue, I think. It's not like this is a institute for the criminally insane.

Maybe discuss with HOA installing speed bumps if there is not any to that second entrance and have a sign no thru traffic. Better yet have CHS pay for it and discuss it at tonight's meeting.

I would have no problem with it as long as traffic concerns were addressed to my satisfaction.

I would be protesting every day. I work a lot with this clientele and it will NOT be a good thing for your family, property, and quality of life.

No more or less than I'd want to be next to/near any other hospital.

Please expand on this. You mentioned 3 things why it would "NOT" be a good thing but you neglected to give....why not.

In this case, I agree that the neighborhood should not be connected for vehicular traffic to use as a cut-through. Aside from that, I see no big deal.
