Hi do you know of a neighborhood or apartments near JWU? I am looking to rent a 1br or studio for the fall, I am currently living out of state and do not know really anything about the Charlotte area geography. I need something on the cheaper side, but in a safe neighborhood. I want to be really close like in walking/biking distance. If you have any ideas or recommendations that would be superb. Thanks a lot!

What is your price range?
The cheapest downtown , I believe , is $600 for a one bedroom , but it is through the CHA.

You likely won't meet the criteria for CHA , so you will have to try elsewhere. Try Plaza Midwood , Chantilly , Cherry , or basically any neighborhood surrounding downtown , except the areas immediately north , and the westside. Are there other areas you would consider?

Get a 2/2 over at Gateway Plaza and get a roommate. Should rent for about 1400 or so.

Hi, thanks. There are other areas I would definitely consider. I just need to be in a close (5-10) mile radius to campus. Thanks for the recommendations.

You've got a lot to choose from in a 5-10 mile radius. A LOT. 10 miles covers a lot of Charlotte.
