I am California boy looking to transfer into Johnson C Smith Univ. to major in computer engineering
I am trying to get information about the school, and the computer engineering program that goes beyond what their website offers.

I have been seeing reviews about horrible crime in the immediate surrounding area of the school so if anyone have some great info on where to live off campus I am all ears.

Please HELP!!!

Look up the Charlotte Police Department crime maps via internet. Telling the truth about such matters is not going to be a reality on this message board. Being honest will result in the harrassment from the bleeding hearts and the label of racist being thrown out mindlessly. I would prefer that you be safe and find out on your own through research. I am sure you aren't looking ford sugar coated responses. There are lots of good and bad areas in Charlotte, but check the areas out on your own. If the surounding was really safe, I could tell you, but that isn't the situation. Good luck. I am sure that JCSU is a fine school though.

Default Thank you Stella

I am going to look at the police crime watch in the area...
Prior to making this post I put in some hours researching the area; I seen a lot of people saying not to stay near the school because crime against college students is running wild. So that's out! The dorm rooms are not equating to the asking price from the school.

However, I do thank you for giving the idea of looking on the police crime watch I will surely do that. Thanks a lot!!!
