This is going to be awsome. I dont remember having milk delivery since I was very small. Just one more reason to think This will be a great place to live.(york co.)
Got my delivery from Lakeview Farms this a.m! All was wonderful. The driver was a doll and very knowledgeable on the products and the farm, etc. He told me my milk was taken on Tuesday from a very happy cow! LOL! He said that the milk in supermarkets is at least 4-5 weeks old by the time it gets there! Yikes! I also got some orange juice that was absolutely delish! Bought some salted butter, cheese, yogurt, organic blueberry waffles. Ok, I went a little nuts! But I wanted to get a try of a bunch of things!

I encourage all of you who are just out of their "reach" to find some neighbors and get them to come out your direction. Jim Price, the president of Lakeview Farms, is just about the nicest man you'll ever want to meet. I just spoke with our milk guy today and they really are trying to get everyone accommodated.
I agree about the oj....absolutely the best. As for the price, if you buy organic milk anyway...it's about the same plus the delivery. If you buy regular milk at Wal Mart...then yes, it's way more.
FYI - beginning this fall the butcher in Waxhaw (my second favorite thing about living out here) will also begin delivery to various areas of Union County and there will be no delivery charge. Another super nice guy...check them out if you are ever in downtown Waxhaw. Absolutely great, hormone-free meat and free range chicken. Template
Is there small dairy stores where you can go in and buy your milk in the glass bottles?

I know between this group and another I frequent, several of us (from different areas) contacted them and were told we weren't in the service area. I had actually placed an order before finding out. I can't recall if the gentleman I spoke to said he was keeping track of those who contacted him or not, to gage whether they had enough customers to begin delivery in some of the newer areas.

Nice to know about the butcher delivery! I am so glad my grandparents just bought in Camberley. They will be very conveniently located.
My neighborhood is VERY small. Any chance Mr. Price does a flyer advertising his services? I could maybe place them in mailboxes locally to see if we could generate enough interest.
You know, I bet if you called him he might just do it for you. I know you've talked to him before and he is very accommodating.
Someone else asked if you could get the milk bottles in stores....yes at Earth Faire they sell Lakeview's milk for about the same price.
For those of you ordering...you absolutely must get the chocolate milk as it tastes like melted fudgecicles. Yum.
