My husband may need to go into the office this afternoon (S. Carolina), and I am concerned for the icy roads (locals) he'll need to take.

He could barely walk on the driveway this morning without falling, and I have seen exactly one car driving in our neighborhood today.

Side/secondary roads are lousy (in Union County)

485 was wet. My speed was about 50mph....people were still passing me in trucks and suv's.....(idiots....)

Go slow, keep a safe distance if you HAVE to goto work.....otherwise, do something w/o driving.....

Hubby drove to Rock Hill from Fort Mill. He said roads are icy but manageable.

Locals are little icy this morning..ask him to take 'most traveled ' car route so that ice is watery.

I made it to Bojangles and back, and then after three tries still slid my truck off the driveway onto my yard. Main roads are fine. My hilly neighborhood and driveway, not so much.

Back roads in Matthews are bad. Several cars stuck on the hill getting out of our neighborhood. Once on Pineville Matthews Road it was cleared up. Providence Road was not very good.

I made it from Mountain Island Lake area (Mt Holly Huntersville Rd / 16) to my office near Tyvolia and Yorkmont without too much drama. Main roads are fine, just have to get past the neighborhood streets.

As of 12:15 I just saw slush on the road, not really any solid ice.
