Here's the current website from their Cramerton location.
The new LaVecchia restaurant in the old Webb Theater in Gastonia will be opening in February or March. Originally it was going to be called Nick's Prime Rib, but is now slated to be called Nick's Steak & Taphouse.

I haven't been to Center Street either, but I'm thinking that this will be a good mix in Kings Mountain. Some MidAtlantic & some local foods. Most of the locals who I've run into like MidAtlantic food a lot. It's not hugely different from the local fare, but gives variety.

The Kings Mountain Herald posted additional information about Center Street.
The name in Kings Mountain will be Center Street Tavern and Smokehouse. It will be smaller than the Cramerton restaurant. It will offer lunch & dinner, opening at 11am. Dinner will be served Mon - Sat., & lunch will be served on Sunday.

Center Street Tavern & Smokehouse is open. They will have an official grand opening later. The information & menu have been piggy-backed on the website for the Cramerton location.

Thanks, If you hear of any more, please post them. There's a lot of construction going on in the old Gaston Mall area. There's some things going on in the downtown area, too. It seems like the problem, now, is trying to refocus on plans for the old Loray Mill, to turn it into residences, retail, & offices. Maybe when they get more going on downtown. . . I did see speculation of a nightclub in the downtown, though.

Hahah...so South ..I saw your thread ...and noticed there were seven responses! I was like amazed that 7 people would actually comment on something on the other side of the world here in Gaston County....then I looked are 5 of the posts are yours.....haha..what was I thinking..
Hey have you noticed there seems to be like 5 times the crime in South Charlotte than there is here in Gaston. I mean we have crime, but its nothing like down there it seems.

Include Kings Mountain on that too.
LOL, I make these threads & then, periodically, post updates on them. it beats trying to remember stuff, when someone's looking. Actually, what surprised me about this thread is the view count. Usually, they only draw a handful.
If you find out about any new restaurants, post 'em here. If it's something else, check to see if I have a thread & if not post it yourself. The Duke training facility is opening this summer in Kings Mountain. Some people will be new hires, but some will be transferred from other Duke facilities. We'll probably be getting some posters for that, plus Gastonia has new businesses coming in.
