I have a cousin in Pittsburgh who had a stroke. No insurance but apparently that doesn't matter there. The put her in ICU did a mess of tests and determined she had clots in her heart. She has had one surgery to remove a clot in her leg and moved to another hospital for heart surgery. They don't mess around. Contrast this with someone i know here who had 2 strokes. She waited 9 hours in the ER. The nursing home let her lay in the bed and pooped herself. It goes on and on. I have been through 6 doctors in Charleston. The one that was a good doctor left because of the malpractice mess in this state. I don't bother to go to the doctor if i am in pain. They think you are trying to scam them for drugs. Defensive medicine is all they practice. If you get sick get sick in Pittsburgh.
