These places stay busy all hours of the night. Especially the new one off the Scott Depot interchange. They built a dining room in it and made it a wi-if hot spot. There are always people in there eating, socializing or just there to get on the computer.
It's ok, I've never been down there so I forgot about the project completely until I saw the sign today.
Yep, so far it's the closest one to Charleston.
I emailed Sheetz the other day and asked them about the status of the South Charleston (Spring Hill) store, and the person responded by saying that there was no plans for one at that time and that they only build them near their distribution centers. I question that because there isn't a distribution center near any of the stores in Central WV, and they had already announced plans for this store a year ago. | South Charleston gives final approval for Sheetz re-zoning
Here is a list of proposed Sheetz locations in the Charleston area which haven't come to fruition.
-Bigley Ave area (old school location): received complaints from community, might be reason for stall
-Kanawha City (beside Hooter's): problem with water lines, was canceled.
-South Charleston (near Thomas Hospital): have no clue
Where were they considering building near Thomas hospital? Most of the time, you can see the Sheetz sign as soon as you get off the exit ramp on an Interstate. I just can't think of where there is a big enough piece of land to build a Sheetz anywhere near Thomas hospital that would be close to the Interstate interchange (Exit 54).

That's funny because I emailed Sheetz over 5 years ago about proposing a store near the MacCorkle exit. And that's pretty much the exact answer they game me back then! They must have a bot working in their customer relations dept, lol
