I wrote on this thread a few weeks ago asking advice about relocating to the Charleston/Summerville area. I'm from Maine and most people said to make a trip down here and see for myself, so that's what I'm going to do. My wife and I will be making the trip in a couple weeks to explore the area and I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on what to see and do while there. We will be stopping along the way in Myrtle Beach and Pawley's Island to visit some friends, but plan on spending the majority of our time in Charleston/Summerville looking at house rentals, schools and exploring the job market (which I'm sure is lousy like everywhere else). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.......... thanks.
