Hello,
I am looking to relocate from California. CA the stink hole of the west. Sorry, but I was born and raised in CA and I hate it.
I was wondering what a townhouse or home is selling for in the area?
How easy or hard it is to get a job? I have 8 years clerical in the medical field and 2 years clerical in Law Enforcement, but I really want to get into doing tours or something in the historical field.
Thanks for any help

You should post on the Charleston subforum, there are a lot of realtors that can help you. A lot of the price range will depend on where you are looking to live. You can get townhomes as low as $125K and on up to $400+...depending on the area. Do you want to live in Charleston (on the peninsula?) There aren't really "townhomes" downtown that I know of (but I could be wrong.) Condos and homes down there are pretty expensive (in the areas where you would want to live.)

Check the MLS for homes and townhomes in Mount Pleasant and West Ashley (15+ min from downtown) and Summerville (45 min from downtown.) I suggest avoiding North Charleston and I don't really care for Goose Creek much either...but the houses are cheaper.

I believe that the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is the largest employer in the Charleston metro area (and if not, close to it). You should have no trouble finding employment at one of the hospitals.
