Where is this? I know of only a few places where there is regular food truck activity (Benefitfocus, Blackbaud, Faber, etc.) so it's nice that you get that variety daily!
It's in Faber Place where all the businesses are, every day. Last week, two were in the same parking lot !
The one yesterday (I think ) was southern gourmet or southern cuisine.
There is a Food Truck "Park" here in Atlanta, Does OK on weekends, but during lunch/dinner on weekday its hard for them to draw the truck to them.
The Food Trucks want to be someplace where they are the only ones there, It hurts the bottom line, if there are other @ same spot, competing with them.
Next Town down from me tried it (FT Rodeo) , But most of the trucks want either a Payment for them to come, or a Sales Guarantee, They tried it 3 or 4 times, then stopped.
They did a food truck rodeo here and it was at the same time a great success and a major screwup. To many people showed up. Major traffic jam, long and slow lines at each truck, and the trucks ran out of food.
While I do not know all the details, West Columbia SC is planning on setting up a food truck pavillon. Again, I do not have all the details but it sounds like a great idea. Maybe Charleston should work on something like this.
There are several places that have the room, but no pavilion. Rain has affected the turnout sometime.
Bill Murray is teaming up with the same guys he teams up with at Rutledge Cab Company to do a little spot where they can have a food truck or two and serve booze/beer.
Fairly new food truck at the Coleman BP in front of the Bottles plaza: Charleston Bird
All fried chicken; definitely need to try this place soon.
