My son will be attending Trident in a few weeks and is having a hard time finding a roommate. We are coming down tomorrow for him to look for jobs and apartments/roommates. Unfortunate thing is we live in Loris so we have been doing it primarily o line. He had it all worked out prior buy everything fell through. Any advice? Hard to do this so far away. I am going out of state in a little over 2 weeks and he's running out of time. Would hate for his college dreams to be put on hold as well.

Try contacting the school for suggestions.

Contact the school's housing office ... As a former perpetual student I can tell you that most schools that aren't purely commuter schools often have off-campus listings. Also if you google "find a roommate" you'll find sites like this one:

Roommates - Roommate Finder & Rooms for rent - Easyroommate US

Definitely contact Trident. It's not a commuter school, even though they don't have dorms or housing. People from around SC move to Charleston to attend there just because it's a good college. Surely they can help with finding roommates. Usually there are online boards for those kinds of things too.
