ASHLEY RIVER COMMONS(North Charleston) (crime, townhomes, safe area)

Hello everybody,

My family and I will be relocating from Florida this June. I need your help about the neighborhood of Ashley River Commons off of Dorchchester Rd.(townhomes) I want to be in close proximity to Boeing but need to know if this a safe area for a family? Thanks for any input.

They are very pretty and they're relatively new. I've had friends that live there and in Jericho and haven't had any problems. There's a brand new fire station there and they're building a new park next to the fire station. I would check with the local police department about the crime statistics for that particular area to give you peace of mind. There are other nice communities along Dorchester Road a little farther up. I personally wouldn't venture below Micheux Parkway on Dorchester.
