AT&T is, once again, the Largest Wireless Carrier in America.

AT&T = 95.5 million subcribers
Verizon = 94.1 million subscribers

AT&T surpasses Verizon to become largest carrier in the U.S. | PhoneDog

How well the cell phone and the carrier perform in any area depends upon who well the pnone is made and how many towers the carrier uses. I lieve in a rural area where there is a lot of heavily forested areas and high rolling hills and miles of corn inbetween towns. In my experience Verizoan and Sprint works best. US Cellular and T-Mobile have no signal and AT&T is spotty. In a city that is 50 miles away there are spots where Sprint has no signal, T-Mobile shines and AT&T drops calls.

Go figure. You try to buy the best of both worlds in your area.

In my area Verizon and Sprint have the best coverage for voice and data,T-mobile would be 3rd and AT&T dead last.

ATT is a poor choice is you are in Greater Metro NY (Albany to NYC to Montauk) and LA/Orange County.

Verizon is excellent.

In all my travels I still prefer Sprint overall.
