He was a character actor and I always thought one of the best. I tuned in to "The Twilight Zone" last night on MeTv and they showed a picture of him with the banner "William Windom, 1923-1912" then showed an episode he was in where a bunch of people all dressed in various costumes were trying to figure out where and why they were in a well type area which turned out to be a kid's toy box. It was one of the more haunting memorable episodes.

He was in a wonderful series called "My World and Welcome to It" based on the writings of humorist James Thurber. RIP Mr. Windom, you are a treasure we don't see much of these days; a great character actor who while never in the limelight, was a great performer for your time.

Oh yes, Minervah. I liked him a lot. He always seemed to play calm, composed characters and he had a wonderful voice. He appeared to have a Marcus Welby kind of personality.

The James Thurber show was one of my favorites. Also the Star Trek episode. RIP Mr. Windom.

Me too. I remember watching Murder She Wrote reruns every day back in the early 2000s. He played the town Dr and Jessica's friend. Loved that show.

RIP Mr Windom.
