Not sure if she's 100% maine coon, but I see some of it in her.

As for being cute, she's got that down pat 100%.

She doesn't have all the characteristics, but could be a mix. It's hard to say without any papers of parents. Could also be a Siberian mix, Norwegian Forest Cat mix or a domestic longhair.

She's very pretty for sure.

You guys are lucky and blessed to have each other. When she gets a bit older post up another pic. You can always ask what the vet thinks on her being MC. I have one that's got some MC in her. But she's not huge or anything. She's got a fuzzy tail and back panties. But she's an odd mix of Siamese, MC, and whatever else. But we love her dearly and that's what matters.

The "M" is not a charatceristic of a Maine Coon, as they come in almost all colors and patterns A Maine Coon could be all black or a tortie for that matter. They should also have fur between their pads, a mane and they make a chirp like sound, like a bird at most times. Her face seems a bit different than a MCO and her fur is a bit short. But of course, she could still be a mix.

Here's a site for the breed standard http://www.cfainc.org/breeds/standards/maine.pdf

She is still lovely looking.

She's gorgeous! And for sure she's a tortoiseshell, at least that's my opinion. If you think she's not a tortie, based on what we see in the pictures, can someone tell me why?

She is a tortie...Just not a Maine Coon tortie. For all the reasons Katrina mentioned.

Tortie describes color, not breed.
