Earlier today, had you walked into my bedroom, I was on my knees looking out my window, glued to the glass, along with the other kitties. There was a whole world going on out there! There was the neighborhood orange tabby, (big beefy guy), running after what might have been a very misplaced hedgehog, possum, groundhog - who knows.
They like watching the orange tabby. He lives next door.
That's going to be something. Our new ones only have the second story window over the driveway right now, pretty high up although they may still glimpse some birds on the few moments they are awake during daylight. But when they get more access to the house, there's the bird feeder out back, plus it's at ground level (or patio level anyway) through a sliding glass door so squirrels and chipmunks come by and the occasional possum at night and still apparently a few cats now and then. (I've been sitting on that for too long now. I need to work on trapping I think, as since they will only turn up in the middle of the night I assume they are feral.) Oh, and deer, in the middle of the night, that is still weird to me. I have a trail cam out there now (well, at least if I remember to put it back out; today it's inside and not on, heh) and darned if I don't keep getting a snap of a deer wandering through the yard at times like midnight and 2:30am. I didn't realize they moved around so much at night.
But anyway, just today, after getting to work I looked at the inside cat watching cam and noted the one looking outside for a fairly long time. No idea what she was looking at. They were a little more active this morning after leaving than last week. Mostly, they sleep and/or confine their movement to times that I am not watching.
Christmas Sammy, she's the black and white, she's 3 and a half, found her at the side of the road when she was two weeks or so, she's the bottle baby
and on the table..Marcel and Falko in the "too small" basket
I think I may have Marcel's twin. Her name is Sheba and she'll be 9 years old this coming April. I had the wonderful experience of watching her being born, so she's rather special to me.
Anyway, she looks a lot like your Marcel, right down to the extra long ear floof.
catdad7x, you do have Marcel's twin! you must give her to me now!! she's beautiful!!
Marcel is equally handsome. It seems we have something in common.
Sheba is convinced that no one can cater to her every whim as good as I do, so I'm afraid a transfer to a new home is very much out of the question.
She sends her regards though.
