Yay for cat pics!!! National politics have gotten me so riled up that I had to come look at pictures of kitties. Cats just live in the moment, don't they! Keep them coming, everyone!
I'll try to make this long story short. This is about a little kitten named Lucy that was born to a feral mamma at my workplace around June 2010. The first photo shows how sick she was. I had 7 cats of my own at the time and I knew I couldn't keep her, but I had to get her out of there because she wasn't going to make it. Made the 40 mile trip home with her & straight to my vet. They cleaned her up and got her on the antibiotics she needed & I picked her up the next morning. I made some calls to family members and got lucky, when my niece adopted her the next day. The second photo is Lucy about 2 months ago. She is now the queen of the household, and is adored by everyone.
Thanks for the comments everybody. It's certainly one of the high points in my career as a cat person. I drive right by her house every day when going to work, and it always makes me smile knowing she's in such a good home.
