My first... he went to heaven shortly after we adopted him (we had him at home for only a couple weeks)... he didn't survive feline panleukopenia (or feline distemper)... it was traumatizing to watch my first cat suffer, and then confine him in a cage surrounded by other suffering animals at the vet for 2 weeks.
Big Kitty is still with us though, and we found him a...purrsnickety friend.
She isn't fond of many people, but as you can see, she has a particular distaste for my brother, I don't blame her.
I left home and my cats with my mother who cooks homemade catfood for them! They are spoiled and happy. I got homesick and missed my babies. I fell in love with the kitten who bit my buttons and took her home. My husband liked the gray kitty who was so energetic, they ended up preferring the opposite owner.
My happy grayboy Ezio! Constantly in my face and in my lap, if he's not there he's howling at nothing and bouncing against walls 6-7 feet in the air, he eats drinks and sleeps so I boiled it down to a mental disorder (joke)
Nimbus would like everyone to know that his chair, in which he spent his first night in our home, is STILL the most comfiest, coziest spot in the entire house.
Also, doesn't it just kill you how they're all like, "I can totally lay here all day if I want. I can take naps any. time. I. like. Because I'm a cat, and you're not. Better put on your coat and go warm up the car, I hear there was frost last night. Ha, ha. Human :P "
@Fatty MacButter - Proves cats are the most intelligent beings on earth. They have trained humans to cater to their every whim and if we don't they ignore us, unlike dogs who are loyal regardless of how we treat them. Ever hear, 'dogs have owners, cats have staff?' LOL
I'll try to make this long story short. This is about a little kitten named Lucy that was born to a feral mamma at my workplace around June 2010. The first photo shows how sick she was. I had 7 cats of my own at the time and I knew I couldn't keep her, but I had to get her out of there because she wasn't going to make it. Made the 40 mile trip home with her & straight to my vet. They cleaned her up and got her on the antibiotics she needed & I picked her up the next morning. I made some calls to family members and got lucky, when my niece adopted her the next day. The second photo is Lucy about 2 months ago. She is now the queen of the household, and is adored by everyone. Attachment 118385

Well, I didn't hear that one, but I have heard, 'Cats were worshiped as Gods in ancient Egypt. Cats have never forgotten this.'
