I'm so sorry to hear about Marshmallow. Thanks for sharing his story. You gave him three years of love, and it takes a special person to adopt an older cat. Seems like he took care of you, too.
So, so sorry to hear about Marshmallow. It is always so hard when they have to leave us, but what we have to remember is the good times we had together. I am also so glad you were able to be with him at the end -- I am sure that gave you both comfort. Big hugs to you.
Just want to say, that while I agree with the dietary recommendations mentioned here, not just for cats with health issues but for any cat...and it's good to know for your other kitty darlings...
Tomorrow is guaranteed to no one.
You gave your Marshmallow kitty many happy "todays"...bless you for being there to love him. I am sorry for your loss.
Merrylee, I'm so very sorry about your loss of Marshmallow.
It's so lovely that he purred for you that one last time and that he could feel you holding him as he went to sleep. I know you have wonderful memories of him and that's what you can treasure now. Will look forward to when you can sure photos of him.
So sorry about losing your Marshmallow. Maine Coons are really neat critters. It was very kind of you to give him a comfortable loving home in his last years.
Two years ago I lost my 17 year old Buddy, and it's a tough thing to put behind you. But eventually the pain of his passing will be replaced by the warm memories of your times together.
So very sorry for your loss. He seemed like a lovely cat. I believe he is now running the great catnip fields of the sky, happy and healthy, with lots of new friends. My Buster and Katrina were there to greet him. <<hugs>
My condolences on the passing of Marshmellow. You gave him 3 wonderful years when others passed him by. He sounds like such a wonderful kitty and thanks to you had a great final few years! Bless you and yours and Marshmellow and thank you again for your kindness by taking him in.
(((HUGS)))
I am so sorry for your loss of your Marshmallow. He was lucky to spend those 3 years with someone who cared so much about him. Thank you for taking him in! It is true, not many people are willing to adopt the older kitties, it takes special people to do that. HUGS to you.
