Hello All!

I've found my dream litter and just wanted to share the joy !

It's "Exquisicat" brand corn and pine clumping litter, and it is awesome! I was using the straight pine litter for a long time, but as many of you already know, there's no clumping action, which results in much more frequent cleaning. The corn litter I always loved as far as clumping, but it did nothing as far as odor control so it was always a compromise because I don't want to give them chemically-fragranced clay stuff...so it was either clumping with yucky smells or zero clumping with decent odor control. Being sensitive to smells, I chose the pine, LOL ...but now there's no compromise at all, it clumps beautifully AND controls odor like nobody's business...low tracking and no dust, either ! Hagrid approves as well...I put his new box with the new litter right next to his old (freshly changed) box with the regular pine stuff, and he chose the new one...SCORE! Let's hope finicky miss Queen Harley likes it too...her box gets changed today, so I'll do the same tactic with her and see which one she chooses .

Where did you find it? About how much does it run/cost?

I got it at Petsmart, and the 8.5lb. bag was on sale for $6.49...not too bad! The straight pine litter is less expensive, but not having to change it out completely as often may even out the eventual cost. Either way, I don't mind paying a little bit more if it means a cleaner box and less maintenance for me!

^^lol. I haven't tried that litter yet. Had to get something different this time but will be glad to get it next time. I go through at least 2-3 40lb. containers a month. A couple of my monsters will stay outside 10 hours at a time, but the minute they come in they head for the litter box!!

Hey thanks for the heads up. I just saw it at PetSmart also. I will surely give it a try as you said the pine litter does track quite a bit. Thanks again.

AW...HAHAHA ! Nope, no newborn kittycats around here, the stray who I was blessed with this year is spayed, thank goodness...now if I can convince her to stop killing birds and leaving me little "gifts" every day, things would be purrfect !

You're very welcome . Yes, I got mighty tired of sweeping so much every day...now it's just a quick sweep right in front of the box...much better!
