You are going to have to factor in your make/model and yr. and if you have any tickets/accidents as well.

I could not guess. I thin we pay around $680, but that includes 7 cars the house and a boat. (I think it does). Some of the cars have full coverage and a $50 deductible, some ahve only PL/PD one has full coverage with a $500 deductible. Then I think we also have umbrella insurance over all of it. I do not know if that is included in the monthly bill. I think our base liability limits are $100,000/$300,000. However legally, you can get as low as $15,000/$30,000 I think. So prices can be all over the place depending on what you get and what you bundle into the policy. ALso how long you have been with the carrier, ages, driving history, where you work, where you live, even your credit rating, or if you are young, your grades can make a difference. I know we send our kids report cards in for some kind of discount.

We pay $1400 a year, for a 2012 Kia Sonata EX FWD and a 2003 Honda Civic LX (Liability only) in New Jersey. We have New Jersey's Manufactures. We also have our house insurance with the same company, it runs around $1,000 a year. We received two dividend checks from them this year, one was around $200 and another was $79. We have good credit, own our own home, have no at fault accidents or moving volitions and I believe our coverage about are 100k/300k.

Wow! Expensive cars, tickets, accidents, or do you live in a high insurance area?

I'm in Houston, have two kids the same ages, 4 cars; 10 Vibe GT, 07 Explorer, 06 Vibe and 87 Mustang. Full coverage, above the minimum on everything,(50/100/50) $250/$50 collision/comp deductable, but no collision on the Mustang. With all discounts available to me; multi line, good student, drivers ed, etc. we pay right about $300 a month with State Farm. We've been with them for almost 30 years and it has been about 10 years since our last accident /ticket.

It would be worth it to shop around. One thing to consider, insure the kids on the oldest, cheapest vehicles. My daughter is on the Mustang, but she never drives it. My son is on the Explorer as it is the next cheapest. My wife is on the 06 Vibe and I'm on the 10 Vibe. My agent did tell me if I put my daughter on the 10 Vibe, my insurance would go up about $140 a month. And if I put my son on his 06 Vibe, it would go up about $60 a month. That puts me in the $500 a month range, so I'm saving about $200 a month, but my kids are still fully covered on all of our vehicles.

A lot depends on your zip code too.

Plus, each state has minimum requirements. For instance, Virginia requires uninsured motorist protection on each policy, other states do not.

Each state is different. My insurance was cut in half when I moved from MA to NH (50 miles). Same cars and same drivers.

We pay about $2200 per year for three cars and five drivers (three under 25). My brother in law in MA is paying over $5000 for similar insurance. I got my best deal thru AAA
