If you have 2 speeding tickets already, be careful with that "snapshot". Also, a Z28 is expensive to insure, especially at your age & 2 moving violations. Do you qualify for any discounts?
The snapshot device cannot raise your rates, even if you drive like a maniac, I've asked about this. It may be a Z28, but it's an old car, 11 years old now.
Rates are high because I'm a single male under 25 and have two moving violations, one of them was complete bull anyways. Was going 70MPH on the interstate through a city where the speed limit dropped to 55, but traffic was moving at 70MPH...I wasn't going to be the only slow guy going 55 and stall up traffic, cop didn't care though.
I have signed up for the paperless discount which I think is $50 per 6 month increment, I believe that is all I have, my deducitble is also set at $500.

$105 a month for a 2008 Accord V6 in Virginia with USAA for state minimum liability coverage and uninsured motorist coverage, comprehensive and collison coverage at a $300 deductible for each. 24 year old single male with one expired ticket on his record.
Age of the car is only one aspect when it comes to "rating" cars. The type of car has a lot to do with it, the ISO symbol will effect your physical damage rates. Your annual mileage is considered in some companies, they type of commute, etc.
You'd get cheaper rates with an eleven year old Corolla, but it wouldn't be as fun to drive. :-)

We pay over $8000 a year for insurance, but that includes the house and a boat, five cars, six drivers (4 under 25) One of the cars is a Z-28. The insurnace on it is not very high. It is one of hte lowest. Because it has back seats, it is classified as a subcompact. Same as a Malibu I think. It is when you do not have back seats that your insurance rates take a big jump. That is why cars like Mustangs and Camaros have stupid worthelss back seats. They certianly are nto for sitting in.
