I doubt you will get an acre there with a house under $300,000! I looked around 2005-2006 and it was pricey.

definitely look into chilliwack , it's not too far from vancouver and it doesn't get too chilly . vancouver island's a nice place too but it 's can get pricey, especially around nanaimo and victoria , so look into like port alberni or campbell river ?
