I would agree with Ontario....they might have a similar "mistake on the lake" but that's about it. (Sorry toronto it's true IMO).
But okay place to live, enjoy the taxes.
The prairies are very, very nice but the cold could be an issue.

Coming from rural or urban OH?
I am coming from Cleveland-Akron Ohio area! It is not all the far to Ontario... A short 2 hour trip to the border and about 5 hours to get to Toronto
My wife and I have both lived in Southern On all of our lives. We are long distance truck drivers and we have been in all 48 lower states many many times. The state that we both agree looks and feels the most like southern On is Ohio. I know that you will find it nuch more liberal here and there is very little racial problems like there is in urban areas of Ohio. You will also find very little in the way of urban decay that you get in the USA. The weather is about the same and the geography is similar. Check out the Niagara region. It has a lot going for it. The cheapest housing in south On. Beautiful land and lake and if you get hungry for a taste of home it's only minutes to the USA.
London Ontario is a great little big city and even though it's in a warmer part of the province it gets a little more snow if you want any winter activities.
Ontario is most similar to Ohio. It's definately a bit cleaner but also alot more taxed and regulated. Niagara region has nice scenery but otherwise it is outright boring.
An Ohioan moving to Canada... Which province would be most easy to adjust to?
Hi friend
you being from Ohio I guess Ontario is the place to move. Ontario will offer you a great quality of life. The country side is similar and guees what you are near the Great lakes so you wont miss home unless you are from the south
Enjoy
