We are a family of 4 with kids and we're planning a tent camping week-end during the Easter vacation.
What are the best campsites/kids-friendly campgrounds you can suggest around Central Florida?
We've already been to Anastasia State Park in St Augustine and we felt that the campsites were too close to each other.
We want something that affords good privacy, nice and clean grounds with kids activities.
we stayed at fort wilderness campgrounds in orlando. Yes it's disney but the kids also got to have fun there with camp fires and games. Not your true rustic camping but it's clean and lots of fun. The tent areas I thought were nice and lots of trees around each.
If you want a REAL adventure, take 'em camping in the Everglades. You can rent canoes and they have platforms to keep you away from the snakes and gators. My brother has gone several times. Came back, too!
