OK, I really need to get the skis tuned up ASAP.

Who knows, may be a repeat of 2003 or 2004.

2000 also was a pretty early start.

Recorded snowfall has happened in every single month of the year in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. While rare in September and this early in October, it really isn't out of the ordinary. FYI Bear Valley, about 30 air miles south of Lake Tahoe at 7000' reported 28.4 degrees while the little snow squall moved through.

Just a week ago I was skiing near Emerald Bay... water skiing... that is

Camp Richardson October Fest was yesterday ... guess the snow put a damper on things?

Years ago I was involved in a snow related crash on Highway 50 leaving Tahoe in July!
