I am looking to start anew after a divorce( married 27 yrs) somewhere in Socal. I lived in Michigan for 27 yrs and in Delaware for a couple.

I am single, 53 yr old female and would like to live in an area with sizable Indian(Hindu) population.

Somewhere near the beach is preferable but not a must. Anywhere between 300k to 400k for a decent home would be fine. Children are grown and on their own.

Being a single elderly woman, safe neighborhoods are a must. Any area family-oriented with low crime rate would be nice.
Please advise. Thank you.

Artesia would be my first choice. Little India(dubbed by locals) is located there.

Also near Little India, with good safety: La Mirada and Cerritos. Check out LA Life - Find Your Place in Los Angeles for safety and affordability.

Of LA's two most well known South Asian areas, Artesia tends to be more Hindu, while Palms tends to be more Muslim, but there are exceptions in both areas.
