Geez I haven't bought gas in over 2 years now with an EV. Costs me a whopping 12 dollars a month to stay charged up to do all the driving I do. But then I'm not in your illustrious State Moved out of there back in 1993 and never looked back. Your nut job governor alone would have been motivation for me to leave had I not gotten out when I did.

Give it a little time. The feathers aren't wet enough, apparently.

Wow, 2 years? That's fantastic! Curious, though. Have you had to replace a battery yet? I hear they're very expensive. A guy on another website posted a photo of his repair bill for his ev battery replacement. I nearly choked when I saw it. $29,000.00 For one freakin' battery! And to make matters worse, the car had only 70K miles on it.

That got me thinkin' .... by your calculations of two years without buying gas and the price tag of a new battery on a car with 70K miles, how much gasoline could I have purchased in those two years?

The station I go to just dropped prices 20 cents. It’s a start, anyway!
dang I just spit coffee all over my keyboard, you're in rare form this morning eh?
This is the site I use to track future oil and gas prices (link). The near month spot has dropped from $2.96 in late July to $2.19 now. As a very vague rule of thumb, New York area prices range from $0.90 to $1.20 above that price, so their could be a drop of $0.70 in the near future.

Of course, drops are slower than rises at retail. A tankwagon delivery has to be paid for, in full, when the truck arrives, meaning that if the prices were kept too low the dealer has to pay the difference out of pocket. If he lagged in dropping, the penalty is lower sales. Thus prices do rise faster than they fall, but not for any sinister reason. The dealers do try to cling to about a dime extra on profits during a drop, but that effort usually does not succeed for long.

From your lips to God's ears. I'm out of this socialist $#?* hole as soon as possible.

Let me ask you a question. In ten years do you think they'll be more homeless or less? More crime or less? More taxes or less? More personal freedoms or less? More lockdowns or less? More social programs or less?

We've got homes in a couple of different states, Arizona is next.

I think the west coast will be the next rust belt. Booming areas are the interior west and south plus parts of the Midwest

Looking at crimes rate data, the state of CA is not in the top 10

https://wisevoter.com/state-rankings...rate-by-state/

I looked at a number of website lists of highest crime rate states that were posted this year.....although, the listings vary from one source to another, some states seem to show on just about every list of highest crime rates.....not CA.....nor does CA show up on listing of the 10 lowest crime rate states.
