Not so much about me feeling better about myself it's more, at this point, about not pointing fingers and savagely blaming other people for something no one can control.

At this point, yes, it's out of control. But, I disagree that we shouldn't point blame on those who let it get to this point. I can say the same thing about China as well for their actions early on.

They had a crap vaccine. That was their issue. Can't blame people for getting a vaccine that doesn't work. I don't get the whole blame game. Masks were an attempt to curb the spread, a rather useless exercise.

But, here we are with the CDC, the holy bible of maskers saying we don't need them and many of you are still hell bent on blaming and wearing them. OK.

No one else cares.

Well, the vaccine has been proven to keep the vast majority of folks out of the hospital. The vast majority of folks have had COVID who were vaccinated have had mild cases. These numbers are much higher for the unvaccinated. I wouldn't call this a failure. Can it it be improved upon, sure?

No dispute that the government has been inconsistent in their communication (mostly as they were learning new things as the virus evolved). But, I also think that people have put all caution to the wind when they got the vaccine. That was the wrong approach as well.

So now they’re not good about it? And Hong Kong has the highest death rate in the world due to its lack of vaccination.

If you look at the statistics, the spread came from family gatherings and began in earnest after Lunar New Year (Feb). People were unmasked and congregating in close quarters, indoors. They did not occur on the crowded subways, where people were wearing masks. But, continue spewing something you know nothing about.

So you’re finally figuring out partly why mask mandates don’t work!

When did I ever dispute that they don't work if you don't wear one? You're putting words into my mouth to make a broad, sweeping, inaccurate generalization.

You must have had this idiotic idea that people would would wear them 24/7 if you thought they would actually work.
