Ben Shapiro doesn’t take the worst pandemic in the history of our nation seriously. Another science denier.

Novavax is trying to get authorized in the USA a vaccine that might be better. That's the only near-future hope I know of. The current situation makes irresponsible large groups of people who mingle and talk (or sing), at least indoors. Any claims to the contrary are rooted in denial. Medical-grade masks don't make that safe. Even testing vigorously, when possible, doesn't make that safe. Community spread is likely from any such gathering. There are other ways for people to meet in the real world. Change is part of life.

A letter is a weak commitment. If congress wanted to act, they would... through the appropriate channels which would be to write a bill to codify these alleged desired requirements. Obviously they don't want to do that and don't actually care. Sending a pointless letter is more bang for their buck since they're not on the hook to constituents or lobbyists or anyone for that matter. It's the appearance of doing *something*. This is the reality of our dysfunctional government.

The airlines aren't going to be compelled to put in covid safety measures that affect their bottom line any more than they were to put in security checks prior to 9-11. So unless we want TSA handling covid testing, this idea is dead on arrival.

More importantly, a screening/vaccination requirement wouldn't do anything.

The solution to being able to shout and chant in large crowd without speaking Covid was found in late May of 2020, 6 months before the first vaccines (outside the trials) were given. Fauci, Newsom, and the CDC all said the BLM protests didn’t spread Covid so maybe we can hang BLM signs at all the NYE gatherings to stop the Covid spread: probably even more effective than the most tight fitting N99s.

Mod: please don’t delete my satire posts as many find them entertaining.

Figure 4, shows comparison of SpO2 values of all students before and after wearing N95 mask. It was observed that, before wearing N95 mask at 9 am, mean of SpO2 values was 96.64±0.196 while at 1 pm after removing N95 mask, mean of SpO2 values was 95.68±0.235 (p=0.000).

contrasted with this:

A resting oxygen saturation level between 95% and 100% is regarded as normal for a healthy person at sea level. At higher elevations, oxygen saturation levels may be slightly lower. People should contact a health care provider if their oxygen saturation readings drop below 92%, as it may be a sign of hypoxia, a condition in which not enough oxygen reaches the body’s tissues. If blood oxygen saturation levels fall to 88% or lower, seek immediate medical attention, says Dr. Lutchmansingh.

Conclusion: BFD.

That’s moronic. What is the point of a test that is only good for a few moments. Once an individual who takes the test comes into contact with the public, the test is null and void. It’s illogical. Every single person needs to be forced a vaccination, to stay home, to wear a mask and keep six feet away from others if an emergency to leave your home to eradicate covid. That’s the only way.

Ok, Ill bite. What are the odds that governmental officials implement that strategy? Dont tell me what you think SHOULD be because you already did that. Tell me what you think is actually going to happen as far as future mitigation efforts.
