I'm planning on transferring to either San Diego State, CSULB, or San Francisco State within the next year.

While I'm already very familiar with San Diego (born and raised; still living here), I'm wanting to explore new territory and would love a change of scenery. SF is my first choice while Long Beach is my next. What I'm wonder is...

Which university is best for a single female (20-years-old by then) going in as a kinesiology major hoping to get a career as a personal trainer and dietitian? I've done some research and noticed that SDSU and CSULB have lots of good options. Plus both are great places to be if you're involved in the fitness/health industry.

I'm just swayed so much by SF because of how different and how curious I am to see what it's like living up in Northern California...and I know that's not a very good reason and that my education should come first.

I'm not old enough to go to bars/clubs, but from what I've seen, I'm not too impressed with San Diego's night life to be honest and enjoy big[ger] cities. Long Beach is within Los Angeles' vicinity, but I've been there plenty of times and am ready to see what San Francisco's all about.

Basically what I'm asking:
- Is San Francisco just as health conscious as Southern California? Would it be a good place for an aspiring fitness/nutrition guru?
- How active is the night life over there? Especially in comparison to San Diego's?
- What's SFSU like? Anything unique and special about it?

I think the reason no one answered is because the questions are kind of vague. How does someone respond to "Is San Francisco just as health conscious as Southern California?"? How would they measure this? Number of health clubs per capita or something like this? Similarly for "How active is the night life over there?"? How does someone provide a response?

Sometime the responses will be presented as "Tell them what they want to hear", which probably won't do you much good.
