Try Boulder proper. You could probably find a great house in your price range in an affluent Boulder neighborhood. Inland America is always surprisingly cheaper than the coasts!

Is Boulder Proper part of the city of Boulder, what about Gunbarrel?

I think Danny means the city of Boulder when he says Boulder proper. Unfortunately, it is not true that housing there is cheaper. It is one of those places where older, smaller housing is considered very desirable, therefore very expensive. Gunbarrel is not part of the city of Boulder.

Thanks. I'm in Boulder right now and enjoying my explorations. First came business related work and now I'm on to beginning to look at real estate.

I had a chance to check out Louisville and liked the Coal Creek Ranch area. May be able to get a nice home for under $600. Any other areas in Louisville that anyone would suggest checking out?

As far as Boulder, it's beautiful but expensive. I've been looking in NOBO and considering townhouses like Holiday and loved Dakota ridge...but Dakota was more than I'd like to spend.

Where next?

Much Thanks!!!!

If you like Coal Creek, you might also want to check out Indian Peaks in Lafayette.

My best friend worked in the kitchen at I think Eldorado - she lives within walking distance. I can't speak to the school - know nothing about that aspect. What I can say with the houses in that area - be very, very careful. Many have foundation issues.

They just finished having their whole foundation completely redone (thankfully still under warranty). One day last year it was fine, one day they hear a big noise and go down and look - the basement had buckled.
