They are exciting to watch this year. They certainly are living and dying by their young talent. Last night, Bryant and Russell were the big stars to tie and win the game. Other games, their raw talent has led to costly errors (such as last week in San Diego), which give the other team big innings.
You guys are starting to fade a little while my Cards are starting to run away with the division. Pittsburgh's also gotten hot, too. Could be a logjam for that Wild Card.

37-30
The Cubs schedule lets up after June, while Pittsburgh's gets tougher. Also, who knows with the division. Past the All-Star Break is when the "fun" starts

Since June 1, they are 8-6 in 14 road games (including trips to play good to very good teams in Washington, Detroit, and Minnesota). They have had just 5 home games so far, and are 3-2 in those.
Overall for the month so far, they are 11-8 (.578) and coming off a series win in Minnesota. I would not call any of this "fading."
Holding their own on a road trip heavy month is a very encouraging sign.
This week won't get easier, with 4 at home against the Dodgers, and then three in St Louis. These are probably the two most talented teams in the National League (all due respect to the Nats).
We will really know how the Cubs stack up to the class of the NL by next Monday.
Pirates get sweeped in Miller Park and have to play 3 in Kansas City and 4 at home vs the Nats...I believe the Nats are 3-0 vs the Pirates. Since the Bucs are at home, the Bucs could end up 2-5 or 1-6 in their next 7
Cards lose in the 18th inning at home to the Mets. The Cards are 4-6 in their last 10
Cubs move up in the division and WC. 3.5 out of 1st wild card and they go play 4 in Great American Ball Park. Cubs always take series vs the Reds so 3-1 is possible. Then they play the Phillies and Rockies at home. Those 6 games scare me because this team struggles against the lesser teams but beats tough teams. Still capable of going 9-1 in the next 10, but am going to say 7-3 over next 10
