LOL, don't beat yourself up about it. I've traveled first on domestic carriers...you aren't missing a thing!

I'm an idiot. I meant quadruple.

Actually, just forget I ever posted anything.

A very detailed and well-documented look at how the 1% lives ... I hope you realize how lucky you are. And I hope you had a lovely trip.

HAHA...not exactly, the 1% have private or chartered jets. Or, if you really want fancy, Singapore Airlines & Emiretes I think has some real first class private (although small) cabins. There is a reason Delta doesn't call it "first class" but "business class", or as I prefer to call it "the very basic level of human comfort when confined in a stuffy tube"-class. Don't ask me what I call coach class.
In first class you get all sorts - non-revs (a suprising amount on intl routes), op-ups, business travelers with companies that will spring for it, frequent flyers that get upgrades or just use points for the miles ( shocking amount on domestic), etc.

Dude...this belongs on your facebook or on your personal blog website if you have one, not here.

I got to AMS all the time, do you think you are the only one? I thought something significant happened. Not "hey I traveled on a plane to AMS and nothing happened and here are 30 pictures showing that nothing happened".
Yeah, Trip Reports - FlyerTalk Forums is definitely more appropriate.

Thanks, and the suite wasn't paid for either. We originally booked a small balcony Verandah, and submitted an upgrade request. I guess they sold the normal Verandah cabin to someone else because we were bumped up to that suite. The next cruise we bought the suite outright. Funny enough, we have another voyage planned on Holland America on the Zuiderdam for New Years. We booked two normal verandahs and our travel agent is going to see if we can upgrade to one Neptune suite.

I am curious about the noise cancelling headphones that were provided on the international part of the flight. Did you use them and how well did they work?

They are better described as "noise suppressing". They work OK but no comparison to the retail models that you can buy, and the actual electronic noise cancelling abilities are minimal. They are better then the disposable crap earphones they give you in coach.
