$15,000? Wow. Does that include a complimentary 65" 2060p TV?

I am taking the red eye flight out of Seattle next month leaving at 10:30pm with a 6am arrival at Dulles... I did pay for economy plus seat upgrade ($20) each way for some extra legroom while I try to sleep and it still only brought my round trip ticket to $380.

I guess I am going to miss out on that complimentary $14,620 bottle of water. Maybe next time!
That's for international flights since the OP went over the pond, although I am going by memory and haven't priced it recently. But, yeah, 5 digit range easy for business class. Int'l first class is much better then domestic first class - but still, yeah...like I said, you are still a prisoner traveling in a stuffy metal tube and the only thing you want to do after 6 or 7 hours (not to mention 12 or 13 hours) is get the hell of the airplane. Comfortable seat and special water or not.

I'm not sure if it's Dasani or some other bottled water. One of them sources their water from the Borough of Queens in NYC. Very special indeed. While I pawed through the entire photo journal, (I am an aviation geek) My final verdict is "Oh how you must have suffered" for the OP. It reminded me of the slide shows my father would present after any vacation. Back in the 60's when traveling was a bit more "exotic" my parents would actually be able to get their friends over to the house to watch a narrated slide show of my parent's travels. Talk about suffering. Edit: where did the ability to hit the enter key for a new paragraph go?

If you're paying triple digits for an international flight on a US airline, you're doing it wrong.

My father paid in full for his ticket and my mother and I's were upgraded from M-class economy fares for around 200,000 miles.

I was upgraded on an economy fare on that flight as well. So I didn't buy a first class ticket outright if that's what you're asking.

Even that's too much. M class being the full (most expensive) coach fare rate and it's probably twice the non-refundable U class rates. I understand that Delta requires that to use the upgrade....but I was able to fly business class wife and myself for 200,000 (that's 100k each), no M class upgrade, but the full flight free, to AMS from the US in August. This included first class flights to Prague on that same trip, for free, where we spent a few days, since through a little-known loophole Delta allows open-jaw tickets on the same reservation. As you probably know Delta has the 3 tier mile usage ticket, and you really have to work at being flexible and just look at every combination of flights to get the 100k tier. It's not easy. You probably did not have that flexibility.

Incidentely we went for a cruise from the Amsterdam pier as well, Holland-America to the Fjords. You can walk to the cruise terminal from Amsterdam Central station, which it looks like you probably did.

Ohhhhkayyyyy yeahhhhhhhh.
I will take the bait, purely for entertainment purposes. Do tell - how do I travel to Delhi on a commercial flight for $99 or less from the U.S. I'll be going back there in a few months.

That's how I translated your triple digits comment ($100 to $999 I assume?)
