remember "People Express" it attracted people that would usually take a Greyhound. The Newark Terminal was like a Bus Station

Anything big and Boeing. I spent my career doing materiel and logistics support, mostly for the B-52, KC-135 and E-3. In my first job I parked and walked through the hanger under the wing of a B-52, on my way to my office. More than half my career was with AWACS and since they were right across base I got to see them a lot - spent a lot of time with the back shops. Got to fly on AWACS twice, a tanker once and even a C-130 (not a Boeing jet but still a thrill for a little girl item manager.)

Very cool......I still love the B-52's........IF I remember correctly they are projected to serve for nearly a century as their electronics and avionics packages are upgraded periodically....making them the most durable and longest lived aircraft series.

They fly(aircraft).......LOL....works for me.

I love the Russian Antonov An-225 designed to carry the Soviet Shuttle(Buran) and the Energia Rocket Boosters.....currently being revived as an ultra-heavylift aircraft. Very sharp design for a heavy cargo lifter.

Hey Pitts, did you see the statistic on the 225 where the entire Wright Bros initial flight could have taken place inside it's cargo bay?

I caught that off of one of the documentaries the Discovery Channel did on it..

Hey plwhit......I have not seen any documentaries on the 225 but I'd like to.....I forgot all about it when the Buran Space Shuttle got cancelled.

It is amazing......the dimensions of the series......I've seen similar stats where the Wright Brothers first flight was equal to the wingspan of a plane(I forget the model).

I did read that the 225's wingspan is equal to a Manhattan city block....that's impressive.

have seen both the 225 and 124. The 225 is the most incredible plane I have ever seen.
124 looks like a slightly bigger C5A (still a very impressive plane)
