Do any commercial jetliners still have foot rests on the back of seats? (mechanic)

I used to recall planes used to have foot rests on the seats in front of you that you could flip down to put your feet on. Do any still have this? I only fly about once a year so my experience is limited. I haven't seen these in years.
Also, why do the intercom systems still sound like some WWII radio when the captain speaks? I can't hardly understand them. You'd think they would improve the sound by now.

I have been an airline mechanic for 25 years with experience on several different fleet types. The only foot rests that I have ever seen are in the cockpit above the rudder pedals.
Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought the Delta 757s still had them, at least as of three years ago. You definitely don't have to go back to the 50s or 60s, I remember them on several flights well in to the 90s.
SWA did back in 2011 when I flew them, flew them a year later on the new 800..............they didn't have it -_-
