The Genesis is the clear winner here. Typical Nissan/Infiniti copying everyone's designs. Hyundais are more reliable than Nissan and offer a superior warranty.
Where have you been for the past 5 years? The G35/37 has been around for awhile now. The Genesis is a clear rip-off of the G, though you are correct in that the G35 copied the 3 series. Still, the G is the best value in its class and better looking than the genesis.

OP- are you kidding me? They might look alike but thats where it ends. Although the Genesis coupe is a great alternative if you don't have the dough.
Look read a little and you will find out unless your just into buyn names the hyundai is the better car fact not fiction just read baby the computer is beatiful thing dummy and sooner or later everyone wil know its a better name too
The lines are tight on the Infinity. The lines on the Hyundai look terrible and cheap.
I may be blind, but looks to me like the same styling engineer did them both. Could be the same car from different model years or different trim packages.
At least in the photos in this thread.
Question, where is the Hyundai built? Same question for the G?
A more salient question might be how do they compare in the parking lot when you are actually able to see and drive each. I'm curious about build quality and specs, and... which car will be holding together 5, 10, or 15 years down the road.
I personally want a car that has to spend as little time in the shop as possible. None, ideally.
As someone who owns a G35, the Genesis is definitely up there. Keep in mind that they are not even competing in the same price range so its understandable that the G37 has a better interior but performance wise they are neck and neck. The Genesis coupe is a great looking car in person (even more so for the sedan). I will be looking at used Genesis V8 sedans when its time to retire the G.
Also, whoever said that the G35 copied the BMW 3 series is doing some serious drugs. Although Nissan/Infiniti used the 3 series as a target in the performance category (never a bad thing), the looks have absolutely no similarity, interior or exterior.
