IF you took a loan from them, not if you borrowed from elsewhere or paid cash.

The Genesis is the clear winner here. Typical Nissan/Infiniti copying everyone's designs. Hyundais are more reliable than Nissan and offer a superior warranty.

Style, draw depending on taste. Performance, the latest issue of Motor Trend said Infiniti won but not by much. I'd go with the Genesis for the cost saving while still getting similiar style and performance along with 10 year/100,000 mile warranty.

Did Motor Trend really give the win to the G37?

Edmunds and Popular Mechanics went with the Hyundai so far. I haven't seen a MT comparison online, yet.

I didn't say they gave the G37 the win. I said it won in performance against the Genesis.

I know one thing, the Hyundai fanboys are rabid and posting about these two new models (the Genesis and whatever that new "hot hatch" is) all over the inter-webs.

I wouldn't buy either one myself. I'm sure they're both fine cars. Hyundai people are very defensive. I don't know why.

I wouldn't buy either of the cars as well. My wife has severe back problems and we care for her 83 year old father. My 2003 Chevy Malibu does just fine comfort wise on the bumps and is fairly easy for the two of them to get in and out. My boy racer days are long gone.
