Aren't you the guy who likes the rear-end styling of the Corvair? If so, that tells me a lot right there!
he's got you there, steve-o. you also did say that the Datsun 280z has been a great performing good looking car since it's inception. c'mon now.
i will say this, Fleet. the 1969 Charger...i'll even say the 68-70 Charger in general, (not the Daytonas-those wings are ugly ass hell) may be one of the sexiest and most bad-ass looking machines ever devised - and yet you always seem to post pictures of them that make them look like jalopies. would it kill ya to post up a picture of one that's been hot rodded a little bit instead of bone stock pink ones with narrow tires in the rear.

while the car in the link you provided is "nice" for a 280z, it is a-typical of the 280 Z's you (I/[we]) see driving on the streets.

Nonetheless, the 280Z (more to the point the 240Z) was a styling triumph in the 70s and it ushered in the concept of an affordable, reliable sports car.

see, that is where we are gonna disagree. i would hardly call it a styling triumph any more than the Mustang II was a styling triumph.
now, with modern body kits, modern wheel and tire packages, and paint, those cars can be made to look alright - but for the most part those cars look like burnt turds IMO.

While you may disagree, it was widely regarded as a styling breakthrough in 1970. Compared to most of what was available at the time, it certainly was.
Nice Charger! But how dare you post a photo of a muscle car in this thread!
