I have a 2007 Ford Escape. The coolant overflow tank looks fine, but every so often, after I turn the engine off, there is coolant leaking towards the rear of the engine on the right side. Should I be concerned? I just thought there was too much fluid to start and it's leveling off.
Are you sure it's coolant, and not A/C condensation? If it is a coolant leak, you better get it checked out, it won't get better. Take it to a shop who can put a pressure tester on it to locate the source...

if its a 2007 i can imagine it is still under warranty in which case dont take it to a corner shop; your dealer should be looking at it. but are you sure it is coolant and not just condensation from the air condidtioning system? is the fluid clear like water, or colored like coolant?

Turns out it was a phantom issue. On hot days the a/c unit has some sort of natural condensation and it leaks via a tube at the rear of the engine.
