What is the best people hauler for $25k? Would like nearly new. We are a family of 5, so we are looking for a 7-8 seater. Currently we have an 01 Mazda MPV. Nice size... Getting tired of sinking $ into repairs.

Easy access to the 3rd row is a must. We would use our 3rd row daily.

I was first considering Toyota Sienna. Now online the Chevy Traverse looks promising.

Any input? Sadly neither will look "cool" just looking for good value and function, and an easy to access 3rd row.

My preference for haulers are the Dodge Grand Caravan SXT or Town & Country Touring or Limited bought used. Because they depreciate a lot in 4 years.

I would look at the Sienna or Odyssey over a Traverse because the third row is much more easily accessed than in a crossover.

We just bought a 2010 CPO Odyssey with 30K miles for about 21K before tax and tags. Might as well be new. We easily fit 7 people the other week with room to spare in the second row. No issue getting to the third row at all.

That'd be my vote as well. Used models can be had for less, though.

If you are worried about "cool" I would stay away from a mini van. I bought a Ford Expedition with 4,500 miles on it for around that price. I love it, fits 8 people no problem. Im not a mini van person and like the traditional SUV look for hauling around a big family, just my 2 cents.

I have yet to meet a Sienna or an Ody owner that did not like their vehicles and I personally don't know anyone that owns a Traverse.

Personally owned a 2011 Ody and it was great while I had it.
