Considering the Mustang has a rich history of road racing. I’d go with the Mustang.

Mustang GT since it is a "Pony Car" and the Charger R/T is a "Muscle Car"

If we are talking today's cars, the Mustang GT walks the Charger R/T everyday and twice on Sunday.

Those exact cars? A 390 Mustang and a 440 Charger? The Mustang, no question in the twisties and the Charger straight line.. maybe.. 390 Mustangs in 68 were light and fast

the charger was very quick in a straight line, and would probably beat the mustang. however when the road turns crooked, the mustang with its better suspension and lighter weight will beat the charger. put them on a road course, and depending on which road course you choose, watkins glen for instance puts a premium on handling, where as daytona puts a premium on pure speed, either one can win.

Hard telling in the movie...especially since the Charger loses 6 hub caps and the Mustang seems to shift more than 4 times. Also they both seem to pass the same VW big and Firebird more than once.

Toyota Yaris. Look, gas is over $3 a gallon, you can't leagally drive faster than 70 miles an hour on an interstate anyway, and this American fascination with "bigger is better" (as well as the idea that they can still afforably build cars) needs to end.
