I have a 2007 Toyota PreRunner, AccessCad with the tow package from the factory.
I'm getting a vibration out of it throughout the truck especially with I hit the gas. Its been taken and had the tires and rims all checked a balanced, but the vibration is still there.
What are the chances that the center yoke on the drive shafts rubber center has pulled loose from the metal and is causeing the vibrations. I ask this because I've noticed that there is a squeaking noise coming from under the truck when backing.

Chances are very good you've found your problem. Also inspect the universal joints for wear.

I was told that the whole driveshaft (both ends) all had to be removed a at the same time. There are no U-bolts holding the U-joints in place on the shafts.

Do your universal joints look like this on one end of the driveshaft

and this on the other?

No.

There's the shaft, U-joint and then the yoke going into the trans and one on the other shaft going to the rear-end. And in the middle of the two shafts you have a "I think its called a Carrier bearing" that has a rubber bushing that it passes through. The only place that has any bolts is in the middle at the yoke with the rubber and its bolted to a cross member of the frame.

Well, I looked around on another website and found a video showing the carrier bearing and the noises it makes when its worn out. And it's the same noises and vibrations that mine is making.

Now the next step is to find out what it's going to cost and if I can do it myself.
