I have a 2003 toyota corolla with 45,000 miles. It vibrates alot when idling in drive when i have my foot on the brake. it also becomes rough when i switch from park to drive.I brought it to the dealership and they said its idling like it should.Anybody have any idea what the problem could be?Additionally, when i brake from higher speeds, the steering wheel vibrates.I dont know if its connected or not.I assume the vibration when braking is the rotors but i dont think its the rotors for the rough idle.Any help would be great

The vibrating steering wheel could be warped brakes but could also be loose wheel lugs. put a lug wrench on all of them. Sounds like the dealer doesn't want to fix your rough idle. Is it under warrenty? One thing to check is your vacuum tubes, make sure they are all connected.

Several things can cause this. A fouled spark plug. In todays cars this does not normally happen at only 45,000 mi but if you drove with a dirty air filter for a while it's possible. Is it worse when raining or damp out? Plug wires would cause this problem. As stated by trlhiker a leaking vacuum hose will also do this. You might also try a can of fuel injector cleaner next time you fill-up.
