Well, after a long day of racing, there are lots of kudo's to go around.

First, congrat's to Jamie McMurray and the entire #1 team for their victory today. Here's a guy that got bumped out of his last home at Roush-Fenway and was fortunate enough to re-join his former owner over at EGR for the 2010 season. What a cool deal for him to win in the first points race of the season!

Prop's to Jr as well for his strong run late in the race resulting in a great 2nd place finish. It was great to see names like Biffle, Bowyer, Harvick, Truex, etc up there contending at the end of a plate race.

The new rules certainly impacted the race and us fans were treated to a green flag finish!!! The field had lots of opportunities to wreck out the end of the race, but they did a good job of slicing and dicing with few mishaps.

It's a shame Mother Nature left a reminder of the recent weather in the form of the track problem in Turn 2, but that's life. Nascar and the track crew did a pretty good job of trying to fix it so the guys could finish the show.

Well, so far so good for 2010. Your thoughts?

I had to watch standing up after the last red flag. And that's at home in front of the tv. It was definitely an exciting finish.

Pretty typical plate race, though I'm thinking when they bring back the spoiler the beating & banging we saw today will result in more wrecks. Congrats to Jamie. And it was great to see some underdogs battling for the win.

This race was a joke! How can you have not 1 but 2 stopages of racing for damn potholes on the track. This is the SINGLE BIGGEST RACE of the entire NASCAR season and the folks at Daytona couldnt have a servicable track to run on...are you kidding? I thought Kevin Harvick ran a phenominal race late and had it not been for the late caution he would have won. He had the best car late in the race. That said congrats to McMurray for keeping Jr out of the winners circle!

Way to go Jr. Look out...... all that 2nd place did was tick him off and make him hungrier, he's going to be a threat this year.

Too bad about Kurt Busch, I was really hoping he would win with Addington to show the problems with the 18 camp last year were not the crew chief.

Basically I was disappointe dwith the new rules results. It was like a multi lapped race followed by a two lap suicide race for the win;that discounted any of the prior laps.
