That would explain the appearance of a 3rd car at 23X1. Ill be curious to see if Gibbs get more sponsorship to keep Denny and the 11 alive or if he will let him go as well. Does Gibbs have any other grandkids who race?
My 2 cents is that Joe would let Denny do his thing out of respect for Denny. This will allow Denny to bring more attention to 23XI and make it a serious contender. 23XI will probably always have some affiliation with JGR and I'm sure be with Toyota for a long time to come. Both teams will benefit mutually.

Toyota is desperate to add teams , so of course the logical and most efficient start would be to get Hamlin to 4 car team.
Surprise, surprise. Alex Bowman starts on the pole Sunday and becomes the seventh driver in history to win the Daytona 500 pole at least three times.
Kyle Larson will start next to him.
Jimmie Johnson and Travis Pastrana were the fastest of the two Open non-chartered cars, clocking in at 23rd and 25th fastest, respectively, to guarantee themselves a spot in the Daytona 500 field on their qualifying speeds.

Front Row Bowman a record 6 years in a row! Now if he could just be there at the end.
Is it too early to say we have a new nd improved Kyle Busch? Thought he held his tongue pretty well after getting wrecked by Saurez once again driving way over his head.
Not sure what to think about the Duals last night. The first dual was downright boring. Rowdy said he would add some fun to the second dual, then sparks flew after the 99 over pushed him into a wall. Kyle had a fast car though.
Hope we don't see all this strung out racing for the 500.
